About

Sue Dasler is a New Zealand studio potter known for wheel-thrown domestic ware that balances form, function, pattern and colour.
Sue has worked as a studio potter since the age of 20, exhibiting in galleries throughout New Zealand. She creates wheel-thrown domestic ware where form and function are equally important. Subtle pattern and colours are achieved through a considered application of glazes.

Inspiration
Her work is shaped by:

  • The distinct purpose of contemporary forms
  • The shifting patterns and colours from our unique landscape, and coastal margins
  • The creative immediacy of making at the wheel
  • The intimate relationships we develop with the domestic pieces we choose to live with
The Sue Dasler pottery has moved from Lyall Bay Wellington, to the Courthouse Café, Collingwood.

Thank you all for your continued support and understanding over this busy time.
